For artists who are building their portfolio for their personal practice and for showcasing their work to prospective schools. This semester we will work with paint and printing techniques to create bigger individual expressions. Including: Paint; acrylic, water color, tempera , acrylic paint sticks. We will incorporate color mixing , painterly mark making and paint drawing for a long term project. following we will delve into printing. From simple screen printing to block printing, and other fun techniques. End of the semester we will create a personal final project based on each artists choice and skill.

This semester we will work with a variety of materials including clay pots, paper mache bird sculptures and pipe cleaner animals. We will make jewelry including seed beading and fimo clay pendents inspired by ancient Egypt. as well as wood sculptures inspired by Louise Nevelson .
